Who Needs To Be Fingerprinted & What Is The Cost?
All employees who hold a credential issued by SBEC/TEA that have not been previously printed through SBEC will be subject to this requirement.Currently employed certified employees who were employed full time during the 2006-2007 school year, will have their fingerprint fees paid by the State. Anyone employed after that date must pay for their fingerprints.
Payment Fee: $52.20
The total cost for certified education is $52.20. A FAST Pass must be obtained online through the SBEC website, and charge the $42.25 fee to a credit card. An additional $9.95 needs to be sent via check or money order to L-1 Enrollment Services at the time of the appointment.Certified Substitute Teachers: Any active substitute teacher who holds a certificate issued by SBEC/TEA is required to pay
for their fingerprints.Payment Fee: $52.20

Each employee designated by SBEC/TEA to be fingerprinted will receive an email from "Itsbatch" that will have "AutoEmail: SB9 Fingerprinting Information..." in the subject line.This webpage will give instructions on how to obtain your FAST Pass. The FAST Pass must be accessed at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment and will be emailed to you once you have logged on to SBEC Online and followed the steps indicated in your notification email. Each educator must log on to SBEC Online and access your own FAST Pass.A FAST Pass needs to be taken to your appointment in order to be fingerprinted. No fingerprinting will be conducted without a FAST Pass and a valid photo ID.
It is critical that your first and last name on your certificate match the name on your current state (valid and active) driver's license or state issued ID card.It is advisable that an account is set up with SBEC Online prior to receiving a notification email.
