During a special called meeting on Monday, Aug. 28, the Joshua ISD Board of Trustees adopted an operating budget that lowered the tax rate.
 
The tax rate of $1.0872 consists of $0.7575 for maintenance and operations and $0.3297 for interest and sinking to pay debt service.

This is a decrease of $0.1854 from the previous rate of $1.2726. The rate has been reduced by over 52 cents since 2016.
