During a called meeting on July 5, the Joshua ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Shelley Douglas as an Assistant Principal at Loflin Middle School.

Douglas began her educational career in Huntington ISD as an elementary and intermediate music teacher and second-grade teacher. She moved to Fort Worth ISD in 1998, in elementary classrooms. For the past 23 years, Douglas has served in Crowley ISD as an assistant principal and principal. She has worked on elementary, intermediate and middle school campuses.

Douglas earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master of Education in Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.
